Textiles

This is done by wet felting using marino wool top, angelina fibres and wool yarn.

This is done on cotton material with silk paints of using the wet on wet technique to get the blobs of colour to expand. Then on top block printed a pattern of fish on top.

This is done by mono-printing of strawberries and raspberries from a magazine on silk.

This is done by needle felting merino wool top, pre felts and wool yarn randomly on a piece of material.

This is done by silk painting a flower and leaves and letting it expand. Also of using some salt to soak up the silk paint in certain areas.

This piece was done by machine embroidery of free hand lines and circles. I then added some coloured wool yarn by couch stitching it on.

This is done by using heat transfer paints. This design was used from my felt piece. But using a different technique.

This is a sample piece of a sunset. Done by using silk paints on natural material in sunset colours and then couch stitched some wool yarn on to give it some more texture and detail.

This is also a sample piece of a sunset. Done by appliqué of cutting up old clothes and material and using the sewing machine and sewing them to a base piece of material. I used straight stitch and zig zag stitch to sew the pieces of material on.

This is a sample piece of pebbles. Done by silk painting browns and greys on a silk type material and then using a padding material in between. Then machine embroider circles on for pebbles which then stick out and has a great effect.
